why boxing: A GOLDEN GLOVES STORY By Brian Zelley.

THE "WHY BOXING" STORY SOURCE AND MISUSE IN the SEVENTIES:                     The story begins in Chicago but the misuse took place in Nanaimo..  The original author was a former amateur boxer and parent of boxers. The piece was published for a Chicago Golden Gloves program. The author was not a boxing coach or trainer, based on his comments early in the narrative concerning the amateur boxers: "They have learned the things that I wish I  could have taught them myself, but didn't have the words, the opportunity or the time.".    Of course taking credit for another person's creation is one negative facto, but what if the person also violated rules and safety standards and dealing properly with disputes.

  1. why would a coach from Nanaimo give the appearance that he wrote the story in two publications in the newspaper and not disclosing the source was from an old story>. Must be one stupid coach that claims he doesn't have the words or the opportunity or time to teach.
